House Band Keeps Rocking & Rolling!

The Town of Vienna Halloween Parade is always such a blast, and this year definitely did not disappoint! Our float theme this year was a Toy (SOR) Story! It was so fun coming together to decorate the float, load it up with musical gear, and then watch our House Band in full costume, rock down the streets of Vienna! No matter the results from the judges, these kids are #1 in our book! And a HUGE THANKS to all the Parents & Staff that helped!

JV House Band Rocked the Lot!

Every year we host a Halloween Parade Watch Party, and each time our JV House Band performance rocks more & more! Not only did they put on an incredible show, but they also helped out with the Rock 101 performances. Watching them give back and help mentor the next generation of SOR Rockers is what it's all about!

Welcome to the Stage Rock 101

Our Rock 101 groups worked so hard the last few months to prepare for their first ever live performance! They WOW'd the crowd, performing a very impressive setlist to kick off our Halloween Party. We can definitely no longer call them "Beginners". They are now Rock & Roll veterans!

For Those About To Rock!

Our Fall Performance Program Season is well underway here at School of Rock Vienna! The AC/DC group is already working on their stage presence skills! These awesome student musicians know how to get a crowd on their feet! We will keep you posted on their rehearsal progress, but then it's up to YOU to come support them at the End of Season Performances in February! And don't forget, we ROCK all year long!

Meet SOR Vocalist Callen K!

What is your favorite thing about School of Rock Vienna? My favorite thing about SOR Vienna is the sense of community here and how close-knit the shows feel.

What is one of your favorite things you’ve learned from your time here so far? I've become a much better singer in general and I love how I feel more comfortable on a stage after leaning by actually practicing on one!

What advice would you give to all the new SOR student musicians? My advice to new SOR students is that everyone needs to start somewhere. Some people naturally better voices like how some athletes are naturally stronger. But hard work and dedication always triumphs of natural talent. Don't compare yourself to others.

Fall & Winter Holiday Schedule

School of Rock is CLOSED for the dates listed below. Please note that your tuition includes four built in make up days each calendar year to cover these closures. If we go over the four, we schedule a make up day and will let you know when this occurs so you can plan.

Thanksgiving Weekend - November 23rd thru 26th
Winter Break - December 24th thru January 1st

Inclement Weather Close/Open Procedures

It's almost that time of year again, so here's a reminder about our Inclement Weather Policy. We do not follow the county school closures. Frequently they make decisions in the morning based on whether or not the buses can maneuver through the neighborhoods. We make our decision to open/hold in person lessons or groups based on whether or not our staff can safely come to work. Once we have that, we will announce our "Open In Person" or "We're Going Online" status on inclement weather days by 1PM by sending you an email (Pike 13) and posting on our main SOR Vienna Facebook page and in our BAND groups. So be sure to check your inbox and social media prior to heading out. And stay warm out there!
